Price of 12kg LPG Cylinder Jumps by Tk 223
Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices have risen again for consumers. The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has increased the price of a 12kg cylinder by Tk 223 to Tk 2,060.
BERC issued a notification announcing the increase on Monday evening, November 2. The previous price of a 12kg cylinder was Tk 1,837. The price of autogas used in vehicles has also increased.
The new rates take effect at 8 p.m. on Monday. BERC said the adjustment reflects higher LPG prices in the international market and increased commissions for importers, dealers and retailers.
Under the new rates, autogas will cost Tk 91.95 per litre, up from Tk 84.62.
