Government Tightens Monitoring of Primary School Teachers
After making online attendance mandatory, the government is taking further steps to strengthen the monitoring of primary school teachers. The measures include an 11-step school inspection system and an improved digital information platform.
State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj announced the initiatives at a national dialogue and experience-sharing workshop titled “From the Field to Reform: Advancing Primary Education in Bangladesh” in Dhaka on Monday (October 19).
He said coordinated action in five key areas—curriculum, teachers, monitoring, infrastructure and technology—is essential to improve the quality of primary education and implement meaningful reforms.
