All Banks in Bangladesh to Remain Closed on November 7
All scheduled banks in Bangladesh will remain closed on November 7 to mark National Revolution and Solidarity Day. Bangladesh Bank issued a circular announcing the closure on Monday, October 26.
The circular states that the government has declared November 7 a public holiday for the occasion, in line with a notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on October 7. Accordingly, all scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh will remain closed that day.
The circular also states that the directive was issued in the public interest under the authority granted by Section 45 of the Bank Company Act, 1991.
