Reports of Order to Resign From Cabinet Are Rumours: Ishraque Hossain
State Minister for Liberation War Affairs Ishraque Hossain has dismissed reports that he was instructed to resign from the cabinet as rumours.
A statement issued on Sunday night (October 18) by the state minister’s press officer, Mahfuz Kabir Mukta, said no instruction for his resignation had been issued by the prime minister or any other senior government official.
The statement described reports of Ishraque’s resignation or an order directing him to step down as completely false, baseless and motivated.
It added that Ishraque continues to perform his government and political responsibilities with dedication and a good reputation, and that there is no question of his resignation.
