2027 Amar Ekushey Book Fair to Begin on January 7
The month-long Amar Ekushey Book Fair, organised in memory of the Language Movement martyrs, will begin on January 7, 2027.
Bangla Academy announced the schedule in a notification signed by its Director General Mohammad Azam on Sunday (October 18).
According to the notification, an exchange meeting with publishers’ representatives was held at the Shahid Munier Chowdhury Auditorium of Bangla Academy at 10:30 am on October 13 to discuss the organisation of the 2027 fair.
Cultural Affairs Minister Nitai Roy Chowdhury chaired the meeting. Cultural Affairs Adviser Dr Zahed Ur Rahman and ministry Secretary Yasmin Begum were also present.
Based on a unanimous decision by the publishers’ representatives, the Amar Ekushey Book Fair 2027 will run from January 7 to February 6.
