Prime Minister Presents National Standards to Seven Army Units
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman presented National Standards to seven Bangladesh Army units in recognition of their professional excellence and courageous contributions during war and peacetime at home and abroad.
He presented the prestigious flags at a ceremony organised by the 9th Infantry Division at Savar Cantonment on Sunday morning (October 18).
The recipients were the President Guard Regiment, 7th Field Regiment Artillery, 32nd Field Regiment Artillery, 25th Air Defence Regiment, 9th Engineer Battalion, 56th East Bengal Regiment and 57th East Bengal Regiment.
Army Chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman welcomed the prime minister upon his arrival. A smartly turned-out army contingent presented him with a guard of honour, after which he exchanged salutes with the soldiers.
