Fire Breaks Out at Garment Waste Warehouse in Ashulia
Four Units Working to Control Blaze
A major fire broke out at a garment waste warehouse in the Jamgora Tetultala area of Ashulia on Friday (October 9).
The fire reportedly started at around 9:45 pm in a warehouse near Kathaltala intersection. It quickly spread to nearby warehouses and homes, causing panic among local residents.
Two units from the DEPZ Fire Service and two from the Jirabo Modern Fire Service reached the scene and began working to control the blaze. Local residents also tried to put out the fire using water and sand.
However, heavy traffic on the Baipail–Abdullahpur road delayed the arrival of fire engines and disrupted firefighting efforts.
