Biman Suspends All Riyadh Flights Indefinitely
Biman Bangladesh Airlines has suspended all flights to Riyadh indefinitely amid continuing attacks in Saudi Arabia, citing passenger safety concerns.
The national carrier announced the decision in a notice issued on Saturday (October 17). It said a new decision on the route would be announced after receiving further instructions from Riyadh airport authorities.
Biman plans to resume flights to Dammam on October 21, subject to approval from the Dammam airport authorities.
Flights from Dhaka to Jeddah and Madinah are operating normally. Passengers with urgent travel needs may use these two airports to enter or leave Saudi Arabia.
Higher-capacity aircraft will continue operating on the Madinah route until October 18. Regular Boeing 787 services will resume on October 19. Biman is also operating additional flights to Jeddah in response to passenger demand.
Passengers have been advised to contact their nearest Biman sales centre for updated schedules and information about tickets and bookings.
