Tourist Travel to Sajek Valley Temporarily Suspended

The Rangamati district administration has temporarily closed Sajek Valley in Baghaichhari upazila to tourists, citing safety concerns.

The decision was announced in a public notice signed by Rangamati District Magistrate Nazma Ashrafi on Wednesday night (October 21).

According to the notice, the closure took effect at 7:00 pm on Wednesday and will remain in place until further notice. Sajek Valley will reopen to tourists once the situation returns to normal.

Tourists currently staying in Sajek have been instructed to leave the area by 4:00 pm on Thursday (October 22) and return safely to their respective destinations.

The district administration previously closed Sajek on October 11 and instructed tourists to leave by October 13. It later reopened the destination from October 16 to 21 for the Durga Puja holidays. Sajek has now been closed again only a few days after tourists were allowed to return.
