Nationwide LPG Sales Shutdown Announced for October 15 and 16

All LPG shops across Bangladesh will remain closed for two consecutive days in protest against the alleged harassment of LP gas traders.

Md. Selim Khan, president of the LP Gas Traders’ Cooperative Society Limited, announced the decision at a press conference held at the National Press Club on Monday (October 12).

According to the announcement, LPG sales will remain suspended nationwide on Thursday and Friday, October 15 and 16.

Earlier, on October 4, the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission raised the price of LPG. The price of a 12-kilogram cylinder was increased by Tk 252 to Tk 1,837.
