Gold Price Falls Again Within a Day

THT Report • October 23, 2026
The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has announced another reduction in gold prices, just one day after its previous price cut.
Under the revised rates, the price of 22-carat gold has been reduced by Tk 2,158 to Tk 224,182 per bhori (11.664 grams), including VAT. The new prices came into effect at 10:00 am on Friday (October 23).
BAJUS said the adjustment was made following a decline in the international price of pure gold.
According to the new price list, 21-carat gold will cost Tk 214,093 per bhori, while 18-carat gold will cost Tk 183,883. The price of traditional-method gold has been set at Tk 150,232 per bhori.
BAJUS previously reduced the price of 22-carat gold by Tk 1,691 on Thursday, bringing it down to Tk 226,340 per bhori.
