Educational Institutions Closed, Offices Open Today

THT Report • October 17, 2026

Educational institutions across Bangladesh are observing holidays for Durga Puja, but their administrative offices will remain open today, Saturday (October 17).

Regular classes will remain suspended. However, institution heads’ offices will operate to carry out essential administrative and official activities.

The Secondary and Higher Education Division issued the instruction on October 14. The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education also directed all education-related offices to remain open on October 17.

The decision was taken to ensure that students can complete urgent administrative tasks, including filling out necessary forms, without facing difficulties during the holiday.
