Black Clover Season 2 Episode 3 Draws Attention With Reported 9.8 Rating

After a break of about five and a half years, Black Clover has returned with new episodes. The Japanese animated series resumed on October 3, 2026, following the end of its previous television run in March 2021. Its latest episode has received praise for its animation, music and action scenes.

The third episode, titled “The Black Guardian,” was released on October 17. A reported rating of 9.8 out of 10 has drawn attention online, although the original source and voting figures behind that score have not been independently verified.

In its own review, entertainment website FandomWire awarded the episode 10 out of 10. The reviewer praised its animation and soundtrack, highlighting the main character’s new fighting power as one of the episode’s strongest moments.

Black Clover follows Asta, a young fighter living in a world where most people can use magic. Although he was born without magical powers, he has a special ability that can stop magic. In the latest episode, he uses that ability to protect his homeland from a giant demon while his allies battle enemies and work to rescue their captured leaders.

Produced by animation company Studio Pierrot, the series releases new episodes weekly. The second season is streaming internationally through Crunchyroll, including in the Indian subcontinent.
